Christmas in June

Christmas arrived a little early this year for Caleb and Josiah. Kerry has been talking about getting Caleb a dirt bike of his own for several months. After saving money and looking at various bikes, Kerry found just the right one. It's not brand new, but it's new to Caleb. I also didn't feel like Josiah should be left out of the gift receiving and insisted that he be surprised with something as well. This morning after breakfast, Kerry asked Caleb if he could go in the garage and get him a screwdriver. Of course, Josiah headed into the gargage as well with Caleb. I peeked around the corner to see Josiah already sitting on his new bicycle and Caleb still searching for the screwdriver, clueless that a dirt bike was in the garage. Then I hear Josiah saying over and over, "Bubby, a big bike, Bubby, a big bike." Finally, we hear, "Mom! Dad bought me a dirt bike!" Did you notice he said that Dad bought him a dirt bike? They were super excited! Of course, pictures were a must.

After taking pictures, we got ready and loaded the boys up so that Caleb could try out his new dirt bike. This bike is bigger than the one he borrowed on our trip in April, but we felt he would out grow the other one way too soon. Josiah practiced on his new bike for a few minutes and then wanted to watch Caleb. Josiah is still getting used to the brakes on the bicycle. Caleb loved his first time out on his dirt bike. It's going to take him awhile to get used to this bike, but he's up to the challenge. We love our boys and are thankful to God we were able to do this for them.

The boys didn't want to leave Levi out of the fun.
