We've been staying busy around here with normal everyday things. I am looking forward to our school year coming to a close. The boys have grand ideas for summer projects like making soap and paper. It should be fun! Here are a few recent pictures of our boys.
Silas is wearing his Overdrive shirt which was given to Levi when he was born. Since we never got a picture of Levi wearing it, we took the opportunity to snap a photo of Silas in it for the Overdrive crew at Saddleback. I think he looks pretty cute.
Levi is "helping" Daddy mow the yard. He enjoys playing outside, but I think the warm weather is getting to him. He can often be found inside when his brothers are outside playing these days. I can't blame him. It's too hot for me too.
Josiah is loving baseball and is counting the days until he can be on a team (when he turns 5). He is wearing my dad's old catcher's gear. I believe that is his favorite position. He plays baseball almost everyday.
Caleb continues to become more and more passionate about snakes. He loves them. The one pictured below is non-venomous. It's not something I would know by looking at it, but Caleb knows. (Kerry does verify to make sure they are harmless).

My dad arrived from Texas on Tuesday. We have truly enjoyed having him here. Yesterday, he treated the boys and I to a day at Kennedy Space Center. It is about 2 and 1/2 hours from where we live so I spent a lot of time the night before preparing for our day trip. That involved laying clothes out, packing changes of clothes, baking muffins for breakfast, packing snacks and lunches, entertainment for the car ride, etc. We all had a great time and the boys did very well. We left our house at 8am and returned close to 10pm. I am always amazed and thankful at how well my boys do traveling as long as I am prepared.

I wish I could capture more moments like this. Last week while I was working with Caleb in school Josiah went to his room. He came back into the school room with all of the hats he found on his head. I couldn't help but smile and then I remembered the book Caps for Sale by Esphyr Slobodkina. I pulled it off the bookshelf and read it to them. Caleb didn't want to be left out of the fun either. I'm not too good with living in the moment but want to get better at it instead of everything so planned especially in regards to school and learning. Definitely a fun step in the right direction.

One of Caleb's favorite positions is playing catcher. He's only played it once this season, but it was exciting to see him get the runner out to end the game. Way to go!
I had snack duty last week and enjoyed making cupcakes for the boys. I'm not that creative or gifted in the arts, but I did enjoy making these and they tasted good too!
Currently, the boys are ranked 2nd going into the playoffs. They boys are doing great playing each game and working hard! I'm so glad Caleb is having fun. His brothers can hardly wait until they are old enough to play.

Yesterday, April 30, Silas pulled up for the first time. I was putting some laundry in the washer and I knew that Silas was already headed down the hall. He loves crawling to the bathroom. When I looked up to check on him I saw him standing up happy as can be and talking up a storm. He looked so cute!
